INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

For dough
  • 2 - 2 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp oil
For filling
  • 6 tsp desi ghee
  • 1 cup boiled split bengal gram
  • 3 tsp cardamom powder
  • 25 gm jaggery
For dusting
  • All purpose flour
For greasing
  • Desi ghee
For garnish
  • Desi ghee
  • Cardamom powder

METHOD

  • Mix all purpose flour, salt, water and oil in a bowl to knead a dough.
  • Now, heat desi ghee in a pan, add split green gram, cardamom powder and grated jaggery in it to prepare a filling.
  • After this, roll out the dough, grease it with ghee and spread the prepared filling on it.
  • Next, cover it with another rolled out dough.
  • Now, heat a pan, cook the rolled out dough with ghee.
  • Garnish the prepared puran poli with desi ghee and cardamom powder.
  • Your Puran Poli is ready.
